Data licence & exports
The data on this site is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Copy it, republish it, build on it — commercially included — and credit CostaCaddie.
CC BY 4.0
Everything CostaCaddie publishes as data — green fees, the validity window attached to each rate, course details, and the factual blocks on each course page — is released under CC BY 4.0. Read the full licence text.
You may share and adapt it for any purpose, including commercially, without asking permission. The conditions are the licence's own: give appropriate credit with a link to the licence, indicate whether you changed anything, and do not suggest that CostaCaddie endorses you or your use of the data.
Being copied with credit is the point of publishing it this way. This site exists to be an upstream source for anyone writing about golf in Catalonia — journalists, tour operators, forum posters, and the AI assistants that increasingly answer these questions on a traveller's behalf. Attribution is what keeps that traceable in both directions: our readers can check us, and yours can check you.
How to attribute
A line and a link is enough:
Green fee data from CostaCaddie (https://costacaddie.com), CC BY 4.0.
If you republish figures, carry the last-verified date with them. A green fee without a date is precisely the failure this site was built to avoid: prices change season by season and clubs are under no obligation to announce it. Our pages always show when a figure was last checked, and a copy that drops that date is worth less than no copy at all.
Machine-readable exports
The same data is published in two machine-readable forms:
- courses.csv — one row per current rate, with the course, town, region, item — a stable code and its English label, day type, player category, amount in euros, validity window and last-verified date on every line.
- courses.json — every course with its town, region and hole count, the same price rows nested under it, and each published fact block with its own last-verified date.
Both are regenerated on every build from the same store the pages read, so an export never disagrees with the site. A course with no verified rate is still in the JSON, carrying an empty price list — the absence is part of the data, not a row we dropped — while the CSV, being one line per rate, simply has no line for it. The JSON payload also states when it was generated and links back to this page.
What the licence does not cover
The licence covers the data. It does not cover the CostaCaddie name or wordmark, and it does not extend to material that was never ours to license: the clubs' own trademarks, their logos, and the source pages the pipeline reads. Those remain with the clubs.
Nor is the data warranted. It is published as accurately as it can be verified, dated on every page, and offered without any guarantee beyond that — CC BY 4.0 itself disclaims warranties, and we are not adding one on top. If accuracy matters to your use, check the figure against the club before you rely on it.
