Affiliate disclosure
CostaCaddie intends to earn revenue from travel affiliate links. None is live on this site today. This page is published in advance because the rules below have to be true before the first link appears, not after.
Current status
As this page is written, no affiliate programme has been approved and no page on this site carries a commercial link. Nothing here has ever earned a commission. When that changes, it changes visibly: an affiliate link always appears with the disclosure line quoted below, on the page carrying it, beside the link itself.
Which programmes
The intention is to join Golfbreaks and Your Golf Travel — both golf holiday operators, both through the Awin affiliate network — and the Booking.com partner programme for accommodation near the courses listed here. If a reader follows one of those links and books, or in Golfbreaks' case submits a qualified enquiry, the partner pays CostaCaddie a commission or a lead fee.
You pay the same either way. Affiliate commission comes out of the partner's own margin: the price you are shown after following a link from this site is the price that partner would have charged had you gone to them directly. Using our links is a courtesy to the site, never a cost to you.
There are no equipment affiliate links here, no display advertising, no sponsored articles and no paid reviews. Travel booking is the only commercial relationship contemplated.
How affiliate links are marked
Any page carrying an affiliate link shows an inline disclosure beside it, in these words:
CostaCaddie may earn a commission when you book through some links on this page, at no extra cost to you. This never affects which courses we list or the accuracy of the data we publish.
The links are also marked in the HTML with rel="sponsored nofollow", so that automated readers and search engines can identify them without parsing the prose. Placement is deliberate and sparse: at most one link per course page, positioned after the rates, where a reader who has finished with the figures would go looking to book. There are no affiliate links in the body text, in headings, in the navigation or in the footer.
A page with no affiliate link carries no disclosure. The absence is meaningful — it tells you there is nothing commercial on that page, which is currently true of every page on this site.
What commission does not buy
Commission never touches the data. Green fees published here are read from each club's own tariff pages and are never adjusted, marked up, rounded or presented differently because a link on the page earns something. A rate is what the club charges, or it is not published at all.
No course appears, disappears or moves up a list because of a commercial relationship. The course index is ordered by region and then by name; the green-fee comparison is ordered by the data itself. No club, booking platform or tour operator has paid for placement here, and none has been offered it. If a partner asked for a published rate to be changed or a course to be favoured, the partnership would end rather than the figure.
Nothing on this site is a recommendation. There are no rankings, no star ratings and no «best of» lists to buy into — the pages report what each club publishes and leave the choice to the reader.
Questions
Anything about this page, or about a link you have seen on this site: write to [email protected]. If an affiliate link ever appears without a disclosure beside it, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
